SUMMARY

Make outbound telephone calls to targeted customers in order to increase the sales and distribution of Frontier products.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes and maintains close business relationships with assigned natural food store buyers using phone contact.
  • Determines customer needs and new placement programs to increase sales in assigned territory.
  • Develops and maintains current profile of each assigned store.
  • Responds to customer questions and inquiries.
  • Provides store buyers with product information and materials to assist in selling Frontier products.
  • Tracks daily calls and placement.
  • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.
  • Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.
  • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, reports and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with a variety of people and respond to basic questions in situations where common courtesy and tact are needed.

 

QUANTITATIVE SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to use such concepts in practical situations. Ability to use a computer to create spreadsheets and charts and run reports.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work within team concept.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs; familiarity with other business software.
