    This position is responsible for supporting LEAN initiatives, data collection, maintaining and developing standard work documents and specifications. This position also coordinates expenses reports, purchases supplies for operations and develops and maintains maintenance tracking systems.



    • Supports Lean events including scheduling, coordinating, documenting and ensuring follow-through.
    • Assists with project management and creates timelines for scheduled projects.
    • Develops standard work processes and ensures that standard operating procedures are updated and maintained on Cornerstone.
    • Tracks cost savings incurred as a result of Lean events.
    • Tracks and maintains SPC charts.
    • Generates reports for supervisors, plant manager, maintenance manager and VP of operations as needed.
    • Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. with a high degree of accuracy and written expertise.
    • Schedules and organizes activities such as meetings and activities.
    • Creates and develops visual presentations.
    • Takes messages and communicates promptly and effectively.
    • Orders all expense items for location operations.
    • Orders all maintenance parts and expense items.
    • Maintains preventative maintenance documents and reports results to VP of operations, plant manager and maintenance manager.
    • Schedules all vendor site visits and training.
    • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.
    • Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.
    • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    A two year degree in a marketing, business, or related field preferred. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two or more years of related experience are required.




    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions where a certain degree of tact and discretion is needed.




    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to comprehend basic production, financial or scientific principles. Ability to use a computer to create spreadsheets and charts, run reports, and analyze and apply that information to make practical, day-to-day business decisions.



    • Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal and data management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
    • Good organizational skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work within team concept.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs; familiarity with other business software and MRP systems.
