  • Overview

    Minimize inventory write-offs by identifying broken business processes and driving process changes throughout the organization.




    • Ownership for understanding and reporting on all inventory write-offs on a monthly basis. Drive accountability and resolution to major drivers of inventory write-off.
    • Ability to manage large sets of data to understand trends, identify problems, create summary reports, and KPI’s.
    • Ownership for maintaining the Non-Conforming Materials (NCM) list.
    • Effectively communicates rework costs and causes so they are actionable for the rest of the organization (i.e. recoup rework costs from suppliers or reduce internal causes). Heavy involvement in the Production Work Order (PWO) processes.
    • Works with financial department to make end-of-month and end-of-year inventory adjustments to system.
    • Ability to work with a large cross-functional team to drive action and results.
    • Audit high-risk inventory types or locations (Quality Hold, Non-Standard locations, etc.).
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Experience using an ERP or mainframe accounting systems.
    • Experience using Microsoft software, proficiency at intermediate to advanced Excel e.g. pivot tables, formulas and sorting/filtering features.
    • Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast pace environment.
    • Ability to analyze processes and implement continuous improvement ideas through informal leadership
    • Ability to multi-task, remain organized and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.
    • Attentive to detail and accuracy. Ability to problem solve and apply judgment.
    • Able to analyze inventory reports, create summaries and provide meaningful explanations to management.
    • Excellent communication skills with a close attention to detail.
    • Must be independent, possess ingenuity and have strong work ethic.




    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.




    Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, or memos. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.




    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Strong preference for intermediate to advance use of Excel.
