    Responsible for compliance with government and third party standards and regulations. Recommends, creates, and presents new processes, SOP's and applicable training programs.



    • Has a critical role in assuring product safety, quality and continuous improvement and assists with the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the cosmetic quality system.
    • Works directly with Regulatory to stay current with changes to regulations and standards, including Food and Drug Administration, Code of Federal Regulations, NSF International, organic and kosher regulations and standards, and other governmental and trade requirements.
    • Works cooperatively and efficiently with other departments to meet the overall objectives of the company.
    • Represents quality assurance on cross-functional teams.
    • Provides information and support to quality control, purchasing, customer service, marketing, sales and other groups as needed.
    • Assists in answering customer questions and providing intra-departmental support.
    • Assists in the completion of information requests, internal and customer.
    • Assists in the coordination of responses with regulatory authorities.


    • Works on projects relating to the development of laboratory and organizational process optimization, develops plans of actions and initiates changes for improving process standards throughout the facility.


    • Develops, writes and updates SOP’s for current and new manufacturing operations and quality processes.


    • Develops training programs based on auditor standards and regulations.


    • Develops and ensures adherence to facility internal audit schedule. Ensures any non-conformities are addressed.


    • Ensures required training is done on a timely basis and maintains training records that can be retrieved and presented in a professional manner.


    • Attends or assists third party audits.


    • Works independently while demonstrating excellent judgment, accuracy, and decision making with little oversight.


    • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.


    • Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.


    • HACCP experience preferred.


    • Internal auditing experience preferred.


    • Familiarity with aseptic sampling technique preferred.


    • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.


    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; and 1 to 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.




    Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, reports and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with a variety of people and respond to basic questions in situations where common courtesy and tact are needed.




    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use a computer to create spreadsheets and charts, and run reports.



    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
    • Good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work within team concept.
    • Familiarity with Word, Excel and database software.
