    SUMMARY 

    Leads Process Development in R&D related to product development and launches within Frontier Co-op.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Owns all aspects of R&D process development from start to finish in new product development efforts - from concept creation through final approved prototype creation; provides and maintains systems that connects robust product development to commercialization and launch.
    • Drives internal new product execution and launches new products.
    • Establishes best practices in R&D process and project leadership, and identifies a roadmap for functional capabilities.
    • Integrates risk mitigation through technical expertise, validation and controls.
    • Oversees core business product improvements and cost savings as they are identified and prioritized in the business plans.
    • Works in collaboration with multiple departments and outside entities to foster a truly innovative, team centric culture.
    • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.
    • Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.
    • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (BS) in chemistry or related field from four-year college or university and 5+ years leadership experience across R&D, Innovation and/or Marketing management in the consumer products industry

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

     

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as highly detailed professional, scientific, and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from both inside and outside the company. Ability to write speeches, articles, or memo using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to such groups as top management, boards of directors, or the general public.

     

    QUANTITATIVE SKILLS

     

    Ability to comprehend the most complex financial principles. Ability to use a computer to create highly customized spreadsheets, charts and reports, presentations, and interpret data. Ability to analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and the most detailed types of financial documents, and apply information to make long-term, strategic decisions.
