    Responsible for increasing brand and corporate awareness and communicating Frontier's leadership and knowledge expertise by securing earned mediaexposure in both trade and consumer media for Frontier corporate and all Frontier brands. Also responsible for creating and managing certain elements of social media including but not limited to campaign development, facebook, twitter strategy and ongoing company wide digital media development.





    • Raise awareness of brands among key audiences in order to increase interest, recommendation and selection in each of the product categories.
    • Have key audiences recognize Frontier and Simply Organic as the premier market-leading brands of natural and organic herbs and spices.
    • Have key audiences recognize Aura Cacia as the premier market-leading brand of natural and organic aromatheraphy and personal care products.
    • Educate and inform key audiences about Frontier's Well Earth program and its benefits in order to encourage participation and support.
    • Educate and inform key audiences about Frontier's leadership in sustainability including Well Earth, Fair Trade Certification.
    • Develop new and different ways to communicate the Frontier message to key audiences.
    • Work with Marketing and Communications to develop detailed PR plan for the Company and each brand including Frontier, Aura Cacia and Simply Organic, Plans will include specific annual goals for press releases, feature articles, matte articles, and digital media strategy.
    • Capitalize on industry events such as the semi-annual Natrual Product Expos, to generate publicity and awareness about new and innovative products and demonstrates Frontier's expertise in the marketplace.
    • Identify, support, and market socially responsible causes that tie directly to our products and mutual interests.
    • Develop one-on-one relationships with key editors.
    • Identify and sponsor key industry events and activities that directly tie to our mission state and Well Earth program of ethical sourcing and sustainable business practices.
    • Develops channels to communicate directly with distributors and key retailers.
    • Develop and maintain accurate targeted media list.
    • Develop and maintain press kits for all brands.
    • Track and report on all Public Relations activities and performance vs plan. Make results of media placement available to sales staff.
    • Develop and maintain editorial calendar.
    • Manage and/or write and distribute matte articles relevant to the brands.
    • May act as spokesperson for the company with permission from executive management.
    • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.
    • Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled trainings.
    • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in communications, marketing, public relations, business administration, or related field, from four-year college or university; and 5 or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of social media a must. MBA preferred.




    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as highly detailed professional, scientific, and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from both inside and outside the company. Ability to write speeches, articles or memos using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to such groups as top management, boards of directors, or the general public.




    Ability to comprehend the most complex financial principles. Ability to use a computer to create highly customized spreadsheets and charts, run reports, and interpret data. Ability to analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and the most detailed types of financial documents, and apply that information to make long-term, strategic decisions.




    • Good communications, interpersonal and leadership skills.

    • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs; familiarity with other business software.
