  • This position can be a Remote position or can be based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 
  • Candidates must be able to work 8:00am-5:00pm CST no matter what time zone they are located in & must have M3 experience specifically dealing with financial transactions. 

SUMMARY 

 

The IT Functional Lead Finance is a position to cover ERP systems finance functions. The position delivers expertise to the technical workstream in the Frontier ERP program and business people in Finance. The job plays a pivotal role in enabling business transformation by overseeing core Infor Finance and supporting system delivery services across the development, testing, QA, operations, support, deployment, cutover, transition, and integration components subsystems of our portfolio of software solutions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead several teams of Frontier professionals across development, testing, and QA operations, support, deployment, cutover, transition, and integration disciplines.
  • Act as a liaison between Systems Integrator resources and technical experts and a variety of internal teams within Frontier who will be integral to supply services to ensure program execution.
  • Leads the ERP Finance support function to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate across Frontier and Systems Integrator architecture resources to ensure that the delivered solution components meet the business functional and system non-functional requirements and operated by the Frontier team.
  • Works collaboratively with Frontier operational leadership, ERP super users, and end-users to identify and implement system optimization, improvements, and efficiencies throughout the system development.
  • The position works collaboratively with leadership, staff, and vendors on all matters related to the use and support of the portfolio of applications and tools.
  • Engage Technical SME's to gather and derive operational requirements and translating them into appropriate technical specifications to ensure that issues can be quickly identified, isolated, and resolved.
  • Facilities cross-functional meetings/presentations with various levels of management.
  • Stays abreast of solution development progress, assists as required to support development, testing, operations, deployment, cutover, transition, and warranty activities.
  • Participate and support all mock conversions, dry runs, dress rehearsals, conference room pilots, systems integration tests, user acceptance tests, and production cutover activities as required.
  • Assists with System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing by providing technical and solution expertise to triage issues and defects.
  • Provide technical assistance to the business in the use of information and data.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, information technology, business administration, the management or related field; and ten years or more related experience in ERP/Finance solutions, including five years of technical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience administering and upgrading complex third‐party systems (e.g., ERP suites) with Enterprise Level Application Development experience. Preferred experience implementing Infor M3 or similar ERP software with a proven track record of delivery excellence (schedule/budget/quality). Must possess core business applications knowledge such as Infor M3, ION, SAP, or Oracle relevant to ERP. Qualified candidates should also have demonstrated experience working with offshore teams to deliver cost-effective quality business solutions.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as a highly detailed professional, scientific, technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from both inside and outside the company. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to the SMEs and Frontier management.

 

QUANTITATIVE SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend the most complex financial principles. Ability to use a computer to create highly customized spreadsheets and charts, run reports, and interpret data. Ability to analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and the most detailed financial documents and apply that information to resolve underlying issues associate with the system.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Possess strong knowledge of defining business architecture with alignment to technology.
  • Ability to work closely with other technical disciplines across integration, data, security, application, and reporting.
  • Advanced communication skills through previous experience in the following contexts: multi-disciplinary project meetings, technical reviews with architects, developers, and SME's.
  • Highly developed organizational skills to prioritize tasks and complete work within defined timeframes in a fast-paced program environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to build close working relationships with operational stakeholders and functional/technical support staff to facilitate a cooperative and productive working environment.
